Lake Bumbunga

I visited Lake Bumbunga (image above) over Thanksgiving break and it was memorizing. It is located in South Australia, which is about a two hour drive from the Adelaide city.

The lake contains salt water and it is pink all through the year! In fact, there are several pink lakes in Australia. It is pink because of the presence of carotene producing algae.

It was first used as a salt producing site; therefore, when I visited, there was actually a layer of crystalized salt underneath all the pinkness.

I strongly recommend anyone who’s interested in natural sceneries to visit Lake Bumbunga.

Cleland Wildlife Park

The second place that I would recommend everyone go is the Cleland Wildlife Park.

It is not only a park, but also a place where visitors get to interact with wild animals.

I definitely like this wildlife park more than any other zoos  because it is a national park and it doesn’t lock the animals up just to be looked at. Visitors can feed the animals with the food they purchased at the front desk and observe them closely.
